2018 - the year in rearview
Hey everybody, as 2018 vanishes in the rearview mirror, I want to thank everyone who helped make it a big year for me. A few highlights:
Reviews in something around 30 publications, including being named Country Music People’s “Album of the Month” in 2018
Appearance on multiple “Best of 2018” lists, including SavingCountryMusic.com’s “Most Essential Albums” list, Americana Boogie’s “Top 15 Albums” list, Country Music People’s Best Songs of 2018 playlist, and year-end lists for several radio programs, both in the US and abroad. There’s no telling what 2019 will bring, but I can say that I intend to do a lot of shows and release some new music as well – more on all that in the not-too-distant future. So, more to come, onwards and upwards…

Honored that Country Music People Magazine (UK) named my new album, Baby You Win, their "Album of the Month" along with a 5 star review in their August issue. In addition, they included a feature on me and the album!
"This is a stylish release, right down to the artwork which is just made for vinyl, and is a fine example of honky tonk that rocks in all the right ways. The guitar work is impressive and yet does exactly what it needs to do. "More and More," a track from my upcoming album Baby You Win is a finalist in the Chris Austin Songwriting Competition that's held at the legendary MerleFest in North Carolina later this month. I'm honored it was selected and thrilled to perform the song in front of a panel of judges that includes Rodney Crowell and Johnny Williams.
